Another summer coming to an end soon….

Wow…what a great week.

I dropped you off with your mom earlier today around 6pm.  I am so sad (honestly) with you not being here.  You have been here with me for a little over 2 weeks straight.  I absolutely love it.  I would so much love for you to leave with me.  I wish you didn’t have to choose when i ask you to come live with me.  I know it may sound selfish…but of course I want you with me.  God knows what is best for you.

Well we went to Wisconsin Dells from Monday to Wednesday…it was so much fun.  We stayed at the Kalahari Resort.  When we got there, me and your Tio Chavo were oooohhin and aaahhin and how big the resort is.  You were like…”god, I have already been here.  I think it is funny that you guys think it is so big, and I think it is normal.”  you were being a pain in the but..but it was funny now that I am remembering.  We of course went swimming each day.  You would of stayed there all night…it is like you are a fish!!! haha.  You got to go on the ducks (the tour boats/truck) unfortunately I got really sick and stayed in the hotel room to sleep.  I did not feel good at all.  You complained a bunch of times about Alex.  You kept saying “he is so annoying, he keeps pinching me, hitting me.  I am getting tired of it”  He was just being a typical 5 year old who wants you and Kenzie’s attention.

We came back on Wednesday night and stuck around Tia Mona’s house.  Since Tio Chavo was visiting along with Hilda and Jasmin from New Mexico, the family came over and we had dinner.  You of course with your neverending energy were playing with Alex and Kenzie all night, along with Kady, your Tio Alex Zuniga’s daughter.

On thursday we just took it easy.  I took you to Barnes & Nobles and bought you 3 books.  I had told you that I wanted you to start reading more.  You are always on XBox 360, so I decided to take you there and get you some books.  Wow you really impressed me.  One of the books you bought, you were really into it.  For the next 4 days, you were reading a lot.  You read in the car, at grandma’s store, in the living room.  A few times when i thought you were going to be playing video games, you were actually reading.  I am really impressed with you Caleb.  I really honestly think you are an incredible young man.  You are very intelligent, very gifted.  I hope you reach your potential.

Well on Saturday we went to my Abuelitos 70th Wedding Anniversary.  We had such a great time.  You were dancing like I have never seen before.  It was funny because Alexi, who is your Tia Christie’s daughter, wanted to dance and dance with anyone.  She kept asking me, but I was actually talking to your Tio Tony about something,  So you happened to walk near me, and I told you “go dance with Alex” and you were like “No, I don’t like dancing” and of course you said “ok will you give me $5″ and I was like ok fine.  That song ended and you continued dancing…..at the end of the night you said to me “ok you owe me $75″ i was like “yeah right” I thought it was hilarious, because it was obvious you were having so much fun.  Alexi is such a cute little girl….she is gonna be trouble!!! hahaha

You gave me a little bit of a scare that night, I was looking for you and your little crew.  It was you, little tony, papas, sammy, and not sure who else…but I started looking for you guys and couldn’t find you anywhere.  Not outside, not inside, not in the lobby.  I was worried for a few minutes.  I never worried too much, because it is not like you to do something “bad”……..when all of a sudden I see you walking with my Tia Lupe….(i had mentioned to her if she had seen you guys, so she was on the prowl looking for you guys also)…she is like they were under the table playing their video games.  Oh my god!!  I was like are you serious….but Tia Lupe was like they weren’t hiding from anybody, they just decided to play under the table.  at the end it was funny.

we ended the night having dinner at TGI Friday’s with your tio tony, little tony, and Kelly.  It was real nice being with the family.

It was great seeing my abuelitos ( they are your great grandparents) Just to refresh your memory.  Abuelito was in a car accident 5 days before Christmas, 2010.  He was pretty banged up…being how old he is, it was a blessing that he has been able to recover enough that he can walk on his own (albeit needing help from a walker).  He was always a very strong man, it is kind of sad to see him so “slow” now.  He is a great man Caleb.  There are probably close to 100 or more people that stretch down in family tree because of them two.  It is a great story to know where we came from.

Well that brings us to today.  We just relaxed….we had breakfast at Abuelitos house in Lincolnwood…then stopped by at Kelly and Tio Tony’s bridal shower.  After wards I had to take you to your mom.

What a great time though..I love making memories with you.  I hope this blog allows us to remember a little more than we would have without it.

I love you so much Caleb.  I cannot say it enough..
